What is Reiki?
Usui Reiki is the original and most widely practiced form of Reiki, founded by Mikao Usui in Japan in the early 20th century. Usui Reiki is based on channelling universal life force energy through the hands to support physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. Practitioners follow a structured system of attunements, symbols, and hand positions, and it emphasises self-healing, personal development, and energy clearing.
Karuna Reiki is an evolved form of Reiki developed by William Lee Rand. It expands upon Usui Reiki by incorporating additional symbols and techniques that focus on deep emotional healing, past-life clearing, and working with higher spiritual energies. Karuna means compassion, and this system is designed to bring transformation and healing through a more intense connection with divine energy. It is often used to address deep-seated trauma and emotional wounds.
What to expect from a reiki session?
A Reiki session is a powerful yet gently way to restore balance, release stress, and support your overall wellbeing. Whether you're seeking relief from emotional blockages, physical discomfort, or simply a moment of peace, Reiki offers a safe and nurturing space to heal.
You may experience deep restoration or even fall asleep, emotional release such as feeling lighter or more at peace, energy shifts like tingling, warmth, or coolness in different areas, clarity and insight as your mind quietens and intuition strengthens.
