How Does Reiki Work?

By channeling this loving universal energy (Ki), we can help to restore balance and create a space for self-healing. This involves:

 

  • Energy Flow: Emma uses her hands to channel energy into the body, either by lightly touching or hovering their hands just above. This energy helps to remove blockages and facilitate healing.
  • Relaxation and Stress Relief: The session promotes deep relaxation, which can help reduce stress and anxiety. When the body is relaxed, it can better focus on healing itself.
  • Balancing Chakras: Reiki often focuses on the chakras which are the energy center's in the body. Each energy centre correlates to a gland for example the thyroid sits where the throat chakra is located. 
  • Emotional Healing: Beyond physical healing, Reiki can help address emotional issues by promoting a sense of peace and emotional release. This can be especially beneficial for those dealing with trauma or chronic stress or ADHD.

During a Reiki session we will - 

 

  • Create a Safe Space: You will come into a calm and comfortable room, with soothing music and dim lighting, to help you to relax.
  • Chat: Before the session, Emma will discuss your needs and any specific areas of concern. This helps tailor the session to you.  Emma will need to know any health issues, medications taken and how you have been that week and day. 
  • Hand Positions: Emma will place her hands in various positions on or near your body, focusing on specific areas that need attention, allowing the energy to flow where it is most needed.
  • Intuition and Sensitivity: Throughout the session, Emma uses her intuition to sense energy blockages and may adjust the technique based on responses.
  • Session Close: At the end of the session, Emma will being you gently back to full awareness. At this point if you feel comfortable its nice to discuss sensations and experiences with a glass of water.
